Initially, the band was founded under the banner of BLACK VOID in Leoben, Austria in 2016. After the completion of the billing, the band name was finally changed into CYROX and soon after the first live shows were successfully completed. Their sonic bastard is a fierce mixture of Thrash and Death Metal without being limited to a specific genre and combining different influences from Hard Rock to Black Metal. Currently, the five-piece is working on its first full-length album which should be ready for release right before Kaltenbach Open Air 2020.
